Game 1 - Aeroplanini di carta (Paper Airplanes)
Short Description
The contestant receives a blank A4 sheet of paper with which to build a paper airplane and throw it as far as possible. The contestant has only one attempt at launching.
Rules
The contestant may use only one A4 sheet of paper, provided by the judges, to build the airplane. There is no time limit for building the airplane.
The airplane must be built on the table near the launching station, without the use of any tools (e.g., scissors, tape, or glue), exclusively by the contestant who will then throw it, under penalty of disqualification.
The airplane must be made exclusively from the sheet of paper received and may not contain any other elements that alter its weight, shape, or any other characteristic, under penalty of disqualification.
The airplane must be shaped like an airplane (specifically, at least two wings must be clearly recognizable), at the sole discretion of the judges, under penalty of disqualification. For example, crumpling the paper will not be acceptable.
The airplane must remain intact during flight and landing; that is, it must not have any parts that separate.
The competitor has only one launch, which must be made with the judges' approval (make sure the area is clear and free of objects and people).
The competitor must launch the airplane without the aid of any tools, but only with his or her own strength.
Weather conditions are part of the game. For example, a repeat launch cannot be made if the wind is against or from the side. The competitor may not wait for favorable weather conditions.
During the launch, the competitor may not go beyond the wooden board nailed to the ground, to which one end of the rib is attached, under penalty of disqualification. Touching the wooden board with part of the foot during the launch is permitted.
Once launched, the airplane may not be touched by the competitor again, under penalty of disqualification.
Once the airplane has come to rest on the ground, the judges will measure the distance traveled with the measuring tape to the farthest point of the airplane from the launch point, to the nearest centimeter rounded down.
If the wind or another external agent accidentally moves the airplane after it has touched down and stopped, the judges will, at their discretion, determine whether they are able to identify the exact position of the airplane before it moved, or will ask the competitor to repeat the launch.
Each competitor may participate in the game only once, even if disqualified.
Ranking and Prizes
The awards ceremony will take place starting at 3:30 PM from the stage in the Mega-Event area.
A winner who is not present at the awards ceremony will forfeit their title and will not be able to claim their prize in any way.
In the event of a tie, the first toss will win.
Game 2 - Calcio a GZ (Soccer at GZ)
Short Description
The goal is to hit targets within the goal with a soccer ball. The value of the targets is inversely proportional to their size. Depending on the position of the ball when the shot is taken, a multiplier is applied to the value of the target hit. The player has three shots.
Rules
The targets have the following values, increasing as their size decreases: 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 points. They are suspended from the crossbar of the soccer goal with ropes, as shown in the previous figure.
The multipliers are: ✕1 for the near position (6 meters, edge of the goal area), ✕2 for the far position (approximately 12 meters, edge of the center circle). The player is free to choose where to place the ball for each shot, either near or far.
For a shot to be valid, the ball must be stationary on the ground at the time of the shot and struck only once with the feet.
For a shot to be valid, the ball must strike the target directly; it will not strike the ropes supporting the target or anything else that could cause it to swing or move.
The ball may touch the ground before hitting the target.
If the ball hits multiple targets, the value of the first target struck will be taken into account, at the referees' discretion.
The player has three shots. Each player's shots will be consecutive, with short pauses of a few seconds needed to position the ball and prepare the shot.
Weather conditions are part of the game. For example, a shot cannot be repeated if the wind is against or coming from the side. A competitor cannot wait for favorable weather conditions.
Each competitor can only participate in the game once.
Ranking and Prizes
The awards ceremony will take place starting at 3:30 PM on the stage in the Mega-Event area.
Any winner who is not present at the awards ceremony will forfeit their prize and will not be able to claim it under any circumstances.
In the event of a tie, the winner will be the one who achieved the highest score.
Game 3 - Consegna le pizze! (Pizza delivery)
Short Description
This is a speed race to complete the track in the fastest time possible, carrying two pizza boxes containing fake wooden pizzas. The course is approximately 83 meters long (estimated time: 20 seconds to 1 minute). Running is not mandatory.
Rules
Each runner has only one attempt.
The judges announce the runner's start with the phrase: "Pronti. Partenza. Via!". At the start, the judge starts the stopwatch.
The runner must complete the entire course, returning to the starting point, without skipping any sections of the course or cutting any corners, under penalty of disqualification.
When the runner finishes, the judge stops the stopwatch.
The runner must not leave the course, under penalty of disqualification. Exception: recovering the boxes if they fall from your hands (see point 7).
The race must be conducted while holding the two boxes, each with one hand, touching only the bottom of the boxes (no sides, no lids). The boxes must be touched only with the hands. If the player holds the boxes differently during the race, the runner will be disqualified.
If the boxes fall from the runner's hands, he or she must stop and pick them up without any assistance from others, under penalty of disqualification, and restart only when the boxes are held correctly, as described in the previous section. The race must restart from the point where the boxes fell.
Running is not mandatory.
Weather conditions are part of the game. For example, a repeat lap may not be performed if the wind knocked the boxes from the runner's hands.
Each competitor may only participate in the game once.
Ranking and Prizes
The awards ceremony will take place starting at 3:30 PM on the stage in the Mega-Event area.
A winner who is not present at the awards ceremony will forfeit his or her right to claim the prize.
In the event of a tie, the winner will be the person who earned the highest score.
Game 4 - Tiro al Cache (Cache shooting)
Short Description
Strike containers of different sizes with tennis balls until they fall off the table. Each knocked-over container counts for a score. The thrower has 5 throws.
Rules
The thrower has 5 throws to knock over the stacks of containers.
Tennis balls must be thrown exclusively by hand, one at a time
Throws are made from the position indicated by the judges.
Containers knocked over or displaced by throws that only hit the supporting surface or structure will be returned to their original position by the judges.
If multiple containers are knocked over with a single throw (only if struck by the ball or another container, not by vibration or other factors), all knocked-over containers will count towards the score.
At the end of each throw, the judges assign scores to the containers on the ground. Containers moved from their original position but remaining on the surface (not knocked over) are not considered for scoring.
The scores of the 6 containers increase in inverse order of size: 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20.
The distance between the pitching area and the benches is about 5 meters.
Each pitcher may participate in the game only once.
Standings and Prizes
The awards ceremony will take place starting at 3:30 PM on the stage in the Mega-Event area.
Any winner who is not present at the awards ceremony will forfeit their prize and will not be able to claim it under any circumstances.
In the event of a tie, the winner with the highest score will prevail.
Game 5 - Memory dei Monumenti (Monuments Memory)
Short Description
A timed, solitaire game derived from Memory. The tiles represent Italian monuments. The judges randomly place the tiles on the table with their backs face down, neatly or haphazardly, without overlapping. The tiles are made up of identical pairs. When the judge signals the start, the contestant turns over two tiles at a time; if the tiles turned over are identical, they are removed from the game. The game ends when the contestant has formed all pairs.
Rules
Each contestant has only one attempt.
The judges randomly place the tiles on the table with their backs face down, neatly or haphazardly, without overlapping. The contestant must not under any circumstances see the images of the tiles before the game begins.
The game begins when a judge gives the start and starts the timer.
The contestant turns over two tiles one at a time. If the images shown are identical, the competitor has formed a pair and may remove the tiles from the game. Otherwise, if the images are different, the competitor will cover the tiles again, leaving them in their original position. In both cases, the competitor continues by revealing two tiles.
The game ends when the competitor has formed all pairs.
The judge will stop the clock only when all pairs are formed.
A competitor who repeatedly and intentionally fails to follow the sequence of moves outlined in point 4 will be disqualified.
Each competitor may only participate in the game once, even if disqualified.
Ranking and Prizes
The awards ceremony will take place starting at 3:30 PM on the stage in the Mega-Event area.
A winner who is not present at the awards ceremony will forfeit his or her place and will not be able to claim the prize under any circumstances.
In the event of a tie, the winner will be the one who achieved the fastest time.
Game 6 - Road to 25!
Short Description
The Road to 25! participant will receive a card with some characteristics or statistics of the geocachers. The participant will have to meet other geocachers. Each geocacher may have them sign (i.e., write their nickname) only one box among those containing a requirement (characteristic or statistic) that the geocacher they met meets. The nickname must be legible.
Rules
Be honest: it's a game, like Geocaching.
The participant must meet the other geocachers in person at the Mega-Event.
The geocacher may sign (i.e., write their nickname) only one box on the card of the participant who meets the requirement (characteristic or statistic). The nickname must be legible. If the geocacher has a stamp, they may use it to sign the box, as long as it clearly states their nickname.
The term geocacher refers to the name of the account registered on geocaching.com, which also includes teams.
Participants may not sign any box on their own entry, but may sign another participant's entry.
Participants must return their entry to the Welcome Desk (where it was given to them) by 3:30 PM, writing their nickname in the space provided.
Each participant may participate in the game with only one entry.
Ranking and Prizes
Five winners will be drawn from the completed entries.
Entries will be checked for obvious alterations. If any, the entry will be disqualified.
Anyone who has already won a prize from the Game Entry drawing will not be eligible to participate.
The game's awards ceremony will take place starting at 3:30 PM on the stage in the Mega-Event area.
Any winner who is not present at the awards ceremony will forfeit their prize and will not be able to claim it under any circumstances.
The prizes up for grabs are: 1 year's Premium Membership subscription to geocaching.com + 1 tag with trackable code for each of the 5 winners.
